Food Stash Foundation 10 Year Anniversary Celebration: Just Eat It – A Food Waste Story

In Canada, about 47% of our food is wasted. Want to do something about it?

Join Food Stash Foundation for its 10 Year Anniversary Celebration screening of JUST EAT IT: A FOOD WASTE STORY. Plus, we’ll have a raffle, prizes and a chance to get involved in the fight against food waste. It’s an evening you won’t want to miss!

After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant pledge to quit grocery shopping cold turkey and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away.

Come early to meet the Food Stash team and learn about our work, get your raffle tickets, and enjoy our pre-show programming.

Plus, eligible donations to Food Stash will be matched to help rescue twice as much good food, and provide twice as many meals to the community. Sign up for the Food Stash newsletter to learn more: https://www.foodstash.ca/newsletter-signup

We all love food. As a society, we devour countless cooking shows, culinary magazines and foodie blogs. So how could we possibly be throwing nearly 50% of it in the trash? Filmmakers and food lovers Jen and Grant dive into the issue of waste from farm, through retail, all the way to the back of their own fridge. After catching a glimpse of the billions of dollars of good food that is tossed each year in North America, they pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on discarded food. What they find is truly shocking.
