Leviticus

It will never stop.

Australian director Adrian Chiarella‘s LEVITICUS generated a lot of word-of-mouth chatter following its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Two teenage boys must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most — each other. Starring Joe Bird, Stacy Clausen.

“It’s a depiction of young love, of universally recognizable awkward fumbling and fragile hopes. It might even lead a few viewers to a moment of understanding and empathy alongside their jump scares, and that seems to be Chiarella’s real intention.” (Austin Chronicle)

“Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of gore and terror in this Australian flick. And when it arrives, Chiarella, making his feature film debut, knows how to get the blood rushing and pumping in all the right places.” (Globe and Mail)

“For the majority of the movie, you’re led to believe you’ve been watching a horror film with a love story burbling underneath it. By the time you get to the final act, you come to realize that its actually the reverse.” (Rolling Stone)

“Supremely suspenseful, smartly done, and ultimately rebellious, Leviticus is an absolute stunner.” (Mashable)
