Academy Award winner Brad Bird, the visionary director of THE INCREDIBLES, RATATOUILLE, and THE IRON GIANT, brings you a whole new world to investigate…
In Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future as seen from 1939, private eye Raymond Gunn (Sam Rockwell) is drawn into a case involving aliens, murder and a multimedia star named Venus Nova (Scarlett Johansson). With Tom Waits, Matt Berry.
“It’s a doozy — as zippy and imaginative and full of ideas as Bird’s very best work, a visually stunning, thematically rich masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of Western animation with wit and verve.” (The Wrap)
“This animation is smart, witty, humane: a fantasy spectacular with old-fashioned entertainment values and some amazing cityscape design showcasing a beguiling and sweet romance. “ (Guardian)
“This is a true gumshoe tale, complete with duskily atmospheric locations, existential crises, and dialogue as smooth as well-aged whisky.” (Slant Magazine)
“‘Ray Gunn’ is a compelling mash-up of influences that make for a terrifically fun movie sure to entertain kids and parents alike.” (Mashable)
